Berek
Berek is the default Basic Red operator in Sudden Attack Zero Point, the free model every player starts with on the Attack-leaning Red side. He is a plain baseline soldier rather than a hero with active abilities: he carries no premium Prime utility functions, so his kit is pure gunplay tuned by your weapon parts. Berek and Basic Blue Raven are the two confirmed starter characters.
Characters · Berek
Berek anchors the Red faction as the no-cost starting body, the counterpart to Basic Blue Raven. Sudden Attack Zero Point does not run Valorant-style agent abilities: your character model is a visual identity plus, on premium Prime characters, a bundle of passive utility functions. Berek is the baseline free operator, so he ships without those paid perks and plays entirely on aim, positioning, and the recoil and reload tuning you build into your loadout through the parts system. Nexon has not published Berek's exact per-operator function set, and the base free models are still being detailed ahead of full launch.
The premium Prime character system layers passive utility onto reworked cosmetic models drawn from the original franchise. The general pool of functions those characters can carry includes jump-sound mute, grenade-radius warning, footstep reduction, a hit marker, and minimap enhancement, with each Prime operator bundling only a subset. Berek matters as the reference point: whatever a Prime model adds, it adds on top of the plain Red baseline that Berek represents, which keeps him useful for learning the raw feel of every weapon before you invest in a Prime skin.
